on a whim i’ve decided to do my first “photo a day” month… even if we’re already on day 2 :)

bittersweet
today’s the last full day of vacation [ i go home tomorrow]. i’m insanely excited to see my munchkin and really sad it went so quickly… honestly, if winters here were not so insanely brutal, i would want to be here FOREVER [with my family of course].
this vacation was a huge success.

halfway through my vacation.
the food is amazing, the people are hilarious, and esperanza spaulding was great last night.. i went to bed at 8 [am] and woke up at 10:30 then lounged until one. now i’m off to go boating.
that’s right, i said boating….
i barely even recognize myself.

quick update
it’s going to be hard to post often over the next 4-5 days because i’m never at the house, but this vacation is GLORIOUS.
don’t get me wrong. i really miss my munchkin! BUT, i’m also having a great time. and from what i hear, he is too.
i LOVE vacation :)

[guilt] trip
tomorrow morning i’m going to take my duffel bag, put it in the trunk, and drive 5 1/2 hours to my mini vacation. [i come back tuesday afternoon.]
i need this. i’ve earned this.
so why do i feel like a bad mommy?

june 28th
in 48 hours i will be leaving my son alone for the first time.
ever.
as in, this will be the first time since he was in my belly that we have ever been apart for more than a few hours!
one minute i’m overly excited for it to be thursday and the next i wish i had waited until jimi was older to take my first vacation.
i really need to get it together.
